1) What is Instant-Locator.com?

The aim of Instant-locator.com is to make you able to send your GPS position to our server so that you are able to look at them later on a map thanks to our website. In the dedicated member area you will be able to look at your GPS positions (also on a map) and at what time you recorded them. There is also an history of several sent positions. You can also use the iphone application each time your are walking in the street and that you feel lost! It is a great way not to get lost because your GPS position is displayed and refreshed when you move.

3) Which mobile phone do I need to be able to use the service?

You need to have an Apple Iphone with GPS functionnality to get the most advantages of the service.

4) Where does it work?

First you need an internet connection to send your positions or display maps. It works everywhere in the world but the displayed maps are powered by the openstreetmap.org project so maps could be more or less accurate depending on where you are. In general you need to be outside to get signals from satellites and be able to use your GPS.

5) How to create a multi-user account?

Start creating an account with the appropriate form. Log in to the member area. In the part "Group/Enterprise account", click on "add somebody to your group". Fill the email address and required fields for the person which will be a member of your group. You will be able to watch information sent by people from yor group in "Your control panel" inside "Group/Enterprise account". Members of your group will be able to watch their information in the member area with their login and password.

6) Is the service available 24h a day?

Yes, the service should be available 24H a day but we do not guarantee a quality of service. This means that the website might go down and you will not be able to use it during a certain period. So do not use this service if you are looking for a strong reliability service. We also will not be responsible for any loss of data. Thank you for your understanding.
